Purse Essentials List You Need for a Daily Pick-Me-Up

Purse Essentials List You Need for a Daily Pick-Me-Up

With more people stepping back outside, it’s time for a purse essentials list.

We’ve compiled a purse essentials list that'll turn your everyday handbag into a golden accessory.

While COVID-19 may still be limiting your options in regard to where you can go and what you’ll need to pack in your purse, it’s always good to be prepared for anything that may come up when you're away from your home and a purse is all you have on hand — introducing our purse essentials list.

You can prep what I like to call your “daily essentials bag.” Consider adding some of these staples to cover you while you’re out and about.

The Bag

First, you need to get yourself a decent size bag that will carry everything you need but is small enough to fit in your purse. Look for a size that is suitable for your purse. Check these two optional sizes from Amazon.

The Absolute Must-Haves

If you’re a minimalist and choose to only take the must-have products, then you need to take note. These products need to be with you at all times. You never know when an emergency will strike, and you need to be thoroughly prepared for anything.

These absolute essentials are:

  • At least one tampon or pad (2 or 3 are better)
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Wet wipes
  • Motrin
  • Tums
  • Chapstick
  • Travel pack of tissue
  • Hand cream

These items are the bare minimum that you should have with you at all times. They will save you or someone else that might be in need of one of these items.

Now that you’ve covered the basics, this next list of products will give you that needed pick-me-up at different points throughout your day.

This includes:

  • Gum
  • Facial mist
  • Bottle of water
  • Healthy snack
  • Nail file
  • Blotting paper
  • Travel toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Dental floss
  • Hair tie

To some people this might be a little excessive, but if you know, you know. The last thing you want is to be out all day and not have the basic necessities to get you through your outing comfortably. These basics are especially great if you don’t want to spend extra money while you’re out.

If you’re thirsty, you don’t have to stop at Starbucks as an excuse to grab ice water because you know you’re about to cave and get a venti Iced Caramel Macchiato (easy ice). If you’re hungry, you’ll have a little snack to hold you over until you get home.

Having a facial spray handy is great when you feel like your makeup is getting a little crusty toward the end of the day – or is that just me? Either way, it’s nice to have a facial mist to hydrate your face when you’re feeling a little tired.

You’ll be glad you have this purse essentials list on hand so you're ready if something comes up. Make sure to periodically clean out your essentials bag and restock and replenish any products you may be running low on.

I like to create a list of these products and throw a reminder in Google Calendars to check and do a restock (especially of feminine products). This helps me ensure I’m always stocked and ready!
