How To Have Fun if You're Single in Valentine’s Day
Single in Valentine's Day? That doesn’t mean you can’t indulge in the Hallmark holiday and celebration of love that takes place on February 14th.
Are you happy to be single in Valentine's Day?
After all, who knows and adores you more than yourself? And, if you ask us, being single in Valentine’s Day is an excuse to treat yourself, which is always welcome in our books!
Here’s how we would plan out the perfect day — to remind yourself that love (and self-love) doesn’t have to hinge on having a significant other in your life.
Morning
The first thing you should do when you wake up is to smile and be thankful for another day of opportunities. Don’t believe us? Try it! When you set the sole intention first thing to be happy and grateful for what’s ahead, it’s amazing the difference that it will bring to your mood and outlook. We are also big fans of journaling, and this day is a great opportunity to remind yourself of all the things that make your life feel enriched and fulfilling. After your writing session, perhaps spend a little more time than usual on your normal morning routines: why not give yourself a luxe at-home facial? Or draw a luxurious bath? You could even whip up a special and delicious breakfast that you’d normally save for special occasions.
Mid-morning
Add some pizzazz to your normal daily rituals. Maybe try out a new coffee spot and mix up your order. While you’re out and about, stop by your nearby market and treat yourself to some fresh blooms to brighten up your home or your office.
Afternoon
If you ask us, a little retail therapy always guarantees a smile and an endorphin hit. If you’ve been planning a purchase, whether it’s an investment buy or just something small, save the shopping experience for Valentine’s Day, so you’ve something to make your heart skip a beat.
Evening
When the sun sets, there’s only one thing for it: a fun and fabulous dinner or drinks date with your closest single friend(s), co-workers, or family members. If you don’t want to go to the trouble of dining out, alternatively, you could host a friend or two and bring a pot luck dish each. Raise a toast to your pals and remind yourself of how much you mean to each other. And don’t forget to save room for dessert! Who said delicious Valentine’s candy was only for the folks in a relationship?!
Now that we’ve gone over how to have the perfect time being single in Valentine’s Day, it’s time to get up and start the process of self-love and indulgence! After all, you deserve it.
