Hair Removal 101: How To Wax Your Underarms
Waxing is still a popular practice when it comes to hair removal. Read these tips and discover how you can have a smoother waxing experience.
Laser hair removal, shaving, and DIY sugar scrubs are huge when it comes to getting rid of underarm hair with as little pain as possible. While this is true, these methods have drawbacks of their own. Lasers can sting. Shaving can irritate the skin, and the hair grows back fast. And sugar scrubbing with those DIY concoctions can be messy and often unsuccessful. The underarm is a delicate area, and it’s important to get in and get out as quickly as possible. I know what you’re thinking… Well, what’s left? And the answer is waxing!
Waxing may seem like a thing of the past, but it is still a popular practice when it comes to hair removal. Yes, it can be painful, but it’s quick, effective, and lasts for a long time. Yep! Waxing is faithful when it comes to hair removal. But how do you get ready for this procedure and make it as painless as possible?
The first thing you need to do is to make sure the area is clean and dry. Exfoliate the skin and don’t put on any deodorant or sprays. Once you have finished the waxing, you can wash it and put some deodorant on.
The next thing you want to do is make sure the wax you are using is high quality. Trust me, the last thing you want to do is continuously waxing the same spot because the hair isn’t catching. My personal favorite is the stripless wax. It works extremely well and is widely available nowadays.
If you can’t handle pain, then take a painkiller about twenty to thirty minutes beforehand. This may minimize the pain you could feel when waxing. Lastly, make sure you hold your arm in the right angle to avoid having to re-wax any hair that could be trapped in the skin folds.
Take these tips and try them out for a smoother waxing experience. No pun intended. You’ll be happy that you did!
