Morning Routine For Busy Women
Getting a good start in the morning sets the tone for the rest of your day as a busy woman.
Being a busy woman doesn't have to be so tough.
Morning routines are one of the hardest habits to master, especially if you go to bed late and try to wake up really early in the morning. The snooze button - friend or foe?
You hit that snooze button 3 or 8 times because, you know, sleep. By the time you get out of bed, you’re scrambling to throw clothes on, slap on some makeup, and run out the door. It’s a vicious cycle that you’ve got to wrangle in once and for all, especially as a busy woman.
Good sleep
Your morning routine needs some serious preparation at first. For starters, go to bed early enough to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep. It’ll be tough initially, but if you’re serious about nailing down this routine, it starts the night before.
Just before you go to bed, lay out your outfit so you’re not sifting through your closet for items that you randomly pick out.
Set an alarm
Depending on the time you need to be at work, set your alarm to account for all the necessary steps you need to accomplish before you walk out the door. Set your alarm and stick to it - don’t snooze!
Don’t snooze!
Once that alarm goes off, immediately get out of bed and make the bed. This is one of the best habits to form. No one wants to come home to a messy bed that you’ll have to adjust anyway. Chaos is the last thing you want to deal with when you walk into your bedroom.
Hygiene!
The next thing that most of us do is, you guessed it, brush your teeth and wash your face. This will, for sure, wake you up. Don’t forget to add some moisturizer to your face and let your skin soak it in.
Coffe + check schedule
Beeline it to the coffee maker and throw some tunes on or listen to an audiobook while you wait for your liquid energy. Or if you’re anything like me, check your emails, calendar, or to-do list to see what you have on the agenda while you wait for your coffee.
Have a good meal
Some of us are breakfast people and some of us are not. This would be a good time to make yourself a hearty meal so you don’t have to spend your hard-earned cash on your way to work. If you don’t like to cook, then get yourself that buttery croissant or oatmeal, girl!
Makeup
After you’ve had breakfast, it’s time to get ready. Keep your work makeup simple so you don’t have to think about what colors to wear. The simpler the makeup, the faster you’ll get ready.
You can always spice up your look with a pop of color on the lips.
Hair
Your hair should also be simple. A low bun or high pony works great for all work occasions. If you have short hair, add some pomade to make sure your hair looks polished.
Outfit
You know that thoughtful outfit you picked out the night before? It’s time to throw it on!
Keys - check. Purse - check.
Walk out that door with confidence, friend!
After going through this routine, any busy woman can surely walk out that door with confidence!
