How To Do Your Spring Social Media Clean Up
We all clean our homes for spring cleaning, so why don't we do the same online? Here's how to do a spring social media clean-up this season.
Spring Cleaning isn’t just for your home! Use the new season as a time to tackle cleaning up your social media.
It’s important to add social media to your spring cleaning agenda.
You could use a social media clean up for a variety of reasons including preparing for a new job, unfollowing accounts you don’t interact with anymore, or even removing those photos that didn’t age well — we all have 'em.
Whether you use social media to make a living or you just love posting pictures of your friends and pets, here are our favorite ways to clean up our socials!
Clean up your following
The people we follow can have a big impact on our daily lives. If you’re following people that bring any sort of negativity into your life (whether you know them or not), UNFOLLOW them. Life is too short for negativity or any bad feelings when we’re mindlessly scrolling on the internet all day long. Follow accounts and people who inspire you to live your best life and be your most authentic self. Good vibes only!
Archive and delete old posts
Whether you have old pictures with former partners, friends, or just with strong and dated photo filters- don’t be afraid to archive or delete them. Sometimes coming across old photos can trigger memories and emotions we may not want to revisit. Sometimes pictures can bring back memories we do- that’s why it’s important to filter through, keep the good and get rid of the not-so-good memories!
Make a content plan, vision board, and goal list
This tip applies if you’re a content creator, influencer, or someone who uses social media to advance and promote their business. Use this new season as a time to set goals for the things you want to achieve through social media, create a vision board that visually represents your goals or how you’d like your social feed to look, and create a content plan that aligns with your goals and vision.
No matter your reasons for your social media clean up, we’re proud of you! Tell us how it went on the @mobilestylesapp Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
