Valentine's Day is almost here, and if you are in a new relationship or in a long term relationship, you are probably already thinking about “the perfect gift.” But, what is the perfect gift these days? Is an expensive and luxurious gift the way to go to show your love and affection? We asked this question to a few couples around the United States. Here are their answers.
A couple in Orange County:
“NO! We would rather celebrate with a picnic at the beach, wine, and cheese and crackers. We love to celebrate with a romantic date. We don’t like to buy expensive jewelry or a watch for him, a special date night is much better.”
A married couple in Chicago:
“We don’t do gifts. My husband and I are on the same page. We would rather pay for an experience. Like going on a nice vacation, staying in a five-star hotel, fancy restaurant, and getting the prime sitting in a concert. We value experience, not material gifts.”
A couple living together for almost 9 years in Los Angeles:
“Valentine’s Day is more of a day to show your feelings for someone or if you're already in a relationship, remind your significant other how much you love them and how thankful you are for having them in your life. Often the simplest ideas make the best gifts. Framed photo from when you started dating, your first kiss, your first road trip together, or a spa treatment together. Buying something expensive may seem more appropriate for a new couple who will appreciate the hard work and effort it took to afford such a luxury.”
Our team at Mobile Styles couldn’t agree more, the way to go is to invest in unique and romantic experience, memories that will last forever.
