The Spring 2019 Beauty Trends You Need to Know

The Spring 2019 Beauty Trends You Need to Know

The runway is overflowing with new looks! We're taking inspiration from New York Fashion Week to find our favorite spring 2019 beauty trends.

Spring is blooming, and so are the latest beauty trends! The Spring/Summer runways at New York Fashion Week showed us what techniques are going to be big in hair, makeup, and skin this season. Get caught up on all the latest beauty looks with our breakdown of the top styles for spring.

A fresh, natural skin look was seen on many of the NYFW runways for Spring/Summer 2019, heading away from heavy caked on foundation. Take, for example, Stella McCarthy where Tata Harper products were used on models who were given a minimalist makeup look.

A popular eyeshadow look on the Spring/Summer runways was bright pops of vibrant color! For instance, a vibrant green shadow was applied to the Versace models. On the Rodarte stage, models wore bright pink, yellow, or blue shadow. Meanwhile, some of the models on the Michael Kors catwalk and Anna Sui were given a violet or purple eyeshadow look. And oh my — Carolina Herrara’s models wore shocking neon stains of orange, pink, and blue!

If you’re not into the bright colorful eyeshadow looks, don’t worry because bright colors weren’t the only eye trend. No-makeup eye makeup was seen on some of the Rodarte models, whose eyes didn’t even seem to have a trace of mascara. Smokey eyes were also seen on stages including Prabal Gurung and Brock.

If you want to make a statement this spring with dramatic red lips, you will be right on trend. Just ask the models at Helmut Lang who was given a bright red lip look or the models at Alice + Olivia who wore a wine-stained dark red lip.

Braids are always a popular look for spring, and if the Spring/Summer runways are any indication, braids will continue to be hot! Why not add some bright color to your braids as seen on the runway of Nicole Miller on rapper JZL the Empress?! Low buns with hair parted down the center is a simple and easy to pull off a look that ruled the stages of Alice + Olivia and Cong Tri.
