This summer we may not be able to go and travel, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use your vacation days or enjoy your summer break. Make this year a stay-cation year! Keep scrolling to find eight ways to enjoy your summer stay-cation.

Turn off Work Notifications

First and foremost, turn off all work notifications, emails, and phone calls. Place a ‘Do Not Disturb’ setting on your phone and computer, so you don’t have to worry about anything work-related. Also, set an automated email explaining that you are out of the office. Remember, this is your stay-cation, so even though it’s tempting to look at work emails while you are at home, you’re off the clock.

Enjoy Sleeping & Napping

No work means staying up as late as you want and sleeping till whenever your body decides it’s time to greet the day. Between work and your daily life activities, you deserve and need to sleep as much as you can during your vacation at home. Once you go back to work, you will feel refreshed and ready to take on the day (and read 100+ work emails.)

Clean & Organize

Even if cleaning and organizing isn’t the ideal activity you want to do while you are on vacation, getting it done and out of the way will make your life 100 times easier. Dedicate a few hours of your vacation to doing the tasks that have been on your to-do lists for months whether it is weed eating the yard or cleaning out the attic. You may complain now, but trust us, you’ll be thanking us later.
