Gather Your Ingredients
Before you create your bath bomb, you are going to need to pick up your supplies and ingredients. In general, this DIY project needs:
Bath bomb mold
Baking soda
Almond oil
Coloring pigment (food color)
Epsom salt
Cornstarch
Citric acid
Essential oils
A whisk
2 mixing bowls
It is up to you on the color you want and the type of essential oils you want to use. We definitely recommend fall-themed shades and essential oils for this project.
Pick Your Fall Fragrance
While creating your autumn bath bomb, you can also add fragrance to enhance it. Popular fall scents include pumpkin, apple, green tea, salted caramel, hot chocolate, and honey. You can get this added fragrance from essential oils and other products.
The Steps
Once you have your ingredients and supplies, it is time to create your festive bath bombs.
In a bowl, mix all your dry ingredients.
Add your color pigments and whisk thoroughly.
In a second bowl, combine your wet ingredients.
Slowly stir in your wet ingredients into your dry ingredients until it has the consistency of wet sand.
Fill each half mold with your bath bomb concoction. You will want the mold to be overflowing a little bit.
Press together the halves firmly.
Let the mold set for one minute.
Lightly tap on the mold and gently remove the bath bomb.
Let the bath bomb dry for 24 hours before using it.
Relax
Your bath bomb is complete, and there is only one thing left to do — take a bath. While all the steps above were fun, this last step is the most satisfying. Plus, this is also where you can discover if you need to make any adjustments for future bath bombs. Now it is time to set the mood. Don’t forget to light some candles to help you enjoy your evening.
