Smoothies with 100 calories or less: Buy or DIY?
The simplest way to get more vegetables and fruits in your diet is a smoothie! You can make them yourself with little ingredients and under 100 calories.
In this new health-conscious world, we are all searching for ways to get healthy and stay healthy. We find ourselves seeking out answers to how we can get that beach body in 8 weeks, and how in the world we can get more fruits and vegetables in our diets. Well, workouts rarely change, but we can always improve what we put in our bodies.
The simplest way to get more vegetables and fruits in your diet is a smoothie! You can make them yourself with little ingredients and under 100 calories. Some of my favorite DIY smoothie recipes are packed with all of the nutrients you need in a day. You can stick with easy dark leafy greens like spinach and kale as well as bright colorful fruits like oranges, strawberries, and peaches. Check out these recipes! Blend all of the ingredients together, and you get two servings, so you can save one for later.

Cranberry-Ginger Smoothie - 102 Calories
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 cups of coconut water
- handful of ice

Strawberry-Rhubarb Smoothie - 100 Calories
- 1 cup rhubarb
- 1 cup strawberries
- ½ cup blueberries
- 1 small banana
- 1 cup unsweetened almond beverage
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- a few ice cubes

Green Smoothie - 97 Calories
- ½ cup frozen blueberries
- 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
- ½ avocado
- ½ frozen banana
- 1 handful dark greens
- pinch of cayenne
- 1 tbsp raw honey
- 2 cups of water
