Here at MOBILESTYLES, we take relaxation seriously!

We’re kept busy so we need to multitask, which is why we need our baths to not only relax us, but to provide us with some major health and beauty benefits at the same time! Here are 5 of our favorite bath additions!

Epsom Salts

Epsom salts are one of most well-known bath additions for a reason! There are so many health and beauty benefits to adding epsom salts to your bath. Epsom salts contain magnesium and sulfate which help the body to naturally detox. Epsom salts also soothe the skin, reduce pain, and reduce stress levels. Simply add 2 cups of epsom salts to your next bath to reap all of the benefits.

Oats

Oat baths have been around since ancient times and since then, oats have become a super popular ingredient in many skin care products. On top of being moisturizing and soothing, oat baths can actually treat skin conditions like dermatitis, psoriasis, and eczema. To create your own oat bath, blend rolled oats into a fine powder that can be dissolved and add ½ cup - 1 ½ cups of the oats into your warm bath water and soak in the water for 15 minutes.

Lavender

Lavender is best known for its relaxation properties which make it the perfect addition to add to your evening bath. Along with its relaxation and anti-anxiety benefits, lavender has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties which aid in wound healing and getting rid of infection. Because of it’s relaxation benefits, lavender can also be used to deal with premenstrual symptoms. To create a lavender bath, combine 3-12 drops of lavender essential oil into 1 tablespoon of your favorite carrier oil and mix it into your bath (some options for great carrier oils include coconut oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, or sunflower oil.)

Green Tea

Green tea is one of the best things you can incorporate into your daily routine. From drinking it, to adding it to your bath, there are so many health and beauty benefits! Add 6 tea bags to your hot bath and let them steep for 15-20 minutes before getting in. Benefits include reduced muscle pain, reduced redness and irritation, and anti-aging!

Olive Oil

One of the most beautiful people to ever live, Sophia Loren swears by taking olive oil baths! She’s now 85 years old and has beautiful skin, so now we swear by taking olive oil baths, too! Add 5 tablespoons (or more) of extra virgin olive oil to your bath and soak. When you exit the bath pat your skin dry. Olive oil will make your skin incredibly soft and will make it look visibly smoother. Olive oil contains antioxidants that prevent premature aging, as well as vitamin E which can help with scarring and hyperpigmentation perfecting your skin!
